Emergency First Aid Course. The FAIB Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course is a one-day training program designed to equip individuals with the essential skills to respond effectively to workplace emergencies. It is approved by the First Aid Industry Body (FAIB) and meets the requirements set out by the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. This course is ideal for: - Nominated emergency first aiders in small to medium workplaces. - Individuals seeking a comprehensive introduction to first aid. - Anyone needing certification for workplace compliance. The aim is to provide participants with the confidence and competence to manage emergency situations until professional help arrives. Course Content Overview The course is structured into multiple sessions covering both theory and practical skills: - Introduction & Welcome - Health & Safety Regulations - Accident Reports & First Aider Responsibilities - Emergency Situations - Chain of Survival & CPR - Secondary Assessment - Choking - Triage, Shock, Fainting - Seizures - Wounds & Bleeding - Burns - Eye Injuries, Foreign Objects, Bites & Stings Written Assessment - Final evaluation of theoretical and practical knowledge. Duration: 1 Day Format: Online or Classroom Certification: FAIB-approved certificate valid for 3 years.
